TIPS FOR SCALING UP

Lab → Pilot → Production Workflow

  1. Lab-scale (100 g): Validate formula stability (e.g., via freeze–thaw and accelerated ageing tests).
  2. Large lab batch (1–2 kg): Identify changes in mixing times, heating/cooling curves, raw material batch effects.
  3. Pilot scale (10–100 kg): Test process on semi-industrial equipment; catch issues in shear, heat transfer, mixing homogeneity .
  4. Full production (100 kg+): Use industrial tanks/mixers with recipe control, maintaining consistency and quality.
